After Dazzling Australia, Oprah’s Back In The US To Launch The Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN)
Her schedule is phenomenal. When Oprah Winfrey comes to town
everyone knows, we saw her in front of Uluru, we watched as crowds
gathered outside the Opera House in Sydney and now Oprah has launched
her latest venture the 24 hours a day cable network: Oprah Winfrey
For 80 million Americans, for whom the show will be available, the Network will offer the best of Oprah.
In the leading show Oprah has invited those who have made it to the
top to share their stories, Condoleezza Rice, Sidney Poitier and Simon
Cowell in the new show “Oprah Presents Masterclass” touted as ‘intimate
raw and real’.
The first show of the session is an interview with Jay-Z who talks
of his life growing up in Brooklyn, his success and his reflection on
his failures. The question of the show is clearly, what lesson can we
learn and take into the future from truly amazing people.
In drawing the audience into Oprah allows documentary makers to
film her life, from meeting her in the morning, her dog cuddling up to
her as she’s driven to work and meeting those who support and work with
one of the worlds most well know women.
It’s a joint venture between Discovery Communications and Harpo Inc.
